Basalt is the flagship restaurant within Dukes Lane Market and Eatery located in the heart of Waikīkī. Featuring Hawaiʻi regional cuisine, the name and brand identity are inspired by the fundamentals of the Hawaiian islands, namely the ground beneath our feet. Basalt is the most common igneous rock, and thus the base underlying everything else here in Hawaiʻi.

A tactile material was carefully sourced for the menu covers. And a lino-cut slab was hand-carved for use across the restaurant's collateral.
